Nivara: Notebook Wars
One notebook, two ways of drawing, and a war that runs to the last page.
Notebook Wars is a real-time strategy game drawn on graph paper. Gold refills on its own, your hand cycles, and both castles are always in reach - you decide what to spend, which lane to push, and when to hold.
How to play: drag a card from your hand onto one of the lanes. Units march on their own and fight whatever they meet. Destroy the enemy castle before they destroy yours.
- Campaign - a short guided first chapter, then Tao and Anna's duel of East and West notebooks
- Real-time PvP - inputs are synced, not outcomes: both sides see one battle
- Collection - cards, heroes and gear; progression never changes the rules of a PvP match
No sign-up needed: you start playing right away, and your progress is saved in this browser. No ads, no purchases in this version.
Controls: mouse or touch. Best in fullscreen, landscape.
This is an early public test - feedback in the comments is very welcome, especially where you got stuck or bored.
About AI: card, character and icon art was generated with AI image tools and then edited by hand. Game design, balance, netcode and all the gameplay are hand-built. Sound effects and music are CC0 / FreePD.
